Mobile text forecasts (Provided by the Met Office - so, it should be acurate...)

Using the service on your mobile phone:

1. Go to the func0.tion on your mobile phone which enables you to write text messages.

2. Type in (either upper or lower case) wthr4 followed by a space then enter either a full UK postcode (with no spaces) or type in a UK city, town or village name.

An example using a postcode:
wthr4 dd1 1nj

or using a UK city, town or village name:
wthr4 dundee

3. Send your message using one of the following short code numbers:

on Vodafone 8638
on BT Cellnet 2638

4. Wait for your 6 hour weather forecast summary to be sent back.

An example message:

BRACKNELL 27/09:10am-bright dry, 11am-showers,12pm-showers,1pm-bright dry,2pm-bright dry;16 to 17C; Breezy

5. Charges per message

Vodafone 30p (excluding VAT)
BT Cellnet 25p (including VAT)*

*This service is currently available on BT Cellnet contract phones only

The charge will be debited from your phone bill or will be automatically deducted from your airtime voucher.
