 THE
PRESIDENT'S DESK Hi folks, Welcome back to a new semester. Like yourselves the S.A. will be busy over the next few months. The immediate issue facing the S.A. is the National Demo in London on 20th February organised by NUS. This demonstration is concerned with Student Hardship. This was a key issue on the doorsteps in the last general election according to Tony Blair. Therefore, this demonstration is vital in helping students in the rest of the UK as well as Scotland. :: Click Here to check out what's happening :: The route itself will pass landmarks such as the River Thames, the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street and Whitehall. It will then conclude in Trafalgar Square. Another event we hope to involve ourselves with is the Student Wall of Debt. This has been very popular in a couple of other Scottish Universities and produces astonishing figures of debt that you would find it hard to believe is true. I will keep you posted.
