Male
Equal Opportunities Officer
Hey folks, how you doing? My name is Chris Forde, I'm 20 years
old from Bangor in Northern Ireland and I am currently a 2nd year
Business Studies Student.
I was elected for the Male Equal Opportunities Officer in March
after a successful campaign. The role of the Male Equal Opportunities
Officer is to make sure that all males are represented equally and
treated fairly in all aspects of university life. I will also be
working alongside Sarah, our Female Equal Opportunities Officer
to create a balance between males and females within the Students
Association. We are also going to draw up an equal opportunities
policy and make it available to everyone
I am not claiming to be a professional in this area of work but
I will be using the resources that are available to develop knowledge
of where to direct you - the people I represent, with questions
or problems; allowing you access to professional advice. Please
remember that any queries or problems will be treated with complete
confidentiality.
As I am also a voting member of the executive committee, I will
be committed to the union, and along with the rest of the exec,
we will be doing our best to improve your students association by
working as a single team with the same, optomistic, realistic goal
in mind.
That is where you lot come in. If you have any comments or suggestions
that you feel would improve the Students Association, then do not
hesitate to approach myself or any other members of the exec, we
will only be to happy to listen...
The Students Association is run for students by students so if you
want to see your union continue to improve YOU
HAVE THE POWER!!!!
Go on... you know you want too!
Any questions, comments, or otherwise - Msg.
me...
[Be gentle now... :-)]
