Abertay
Sports Union Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday the
7th of May in the union. Where Abertay's sporting elite were awarded
colours for their efforts of contrubutions to sport within Abertay's
New Sports Union. Details of prize winners will be posted online
shortly... See below for a rundown of the awards and what they mean.
Details:
Abertay Sports Union annual Prize Giving Ceremony.
This is the first time that Abertay
has had awards to recognise the achievments of there sporting
performers. This years achievment have been outstanding for
both teams and individuals, there has been a keen development from
new teams and the continuing development of our established teams
throughout the year, this ceremony will give us the oppertunity
to thank all the participants involved.
The awards of the evening included:
FULL BLUES: busa representative/individual
champion. Represented country in championship as specified by busa.
HALF-BLUES: susf representative/individual
champion. BUSA top five.
COLOURS: Played for Uni club
for a minimum of one year and 75% of matches. Contributed outstandingly
in coaching, organisation or managment of a club.
TEAM OF THE YEAR: Awarded to
a team that has achieved exceptional results throughout the year.
CLUB OF THE YEAR: Awarded to
a club that has displayed exceptional dedication to the organisation
and promotion of their club throughout the year.
SPORTS PERSON OF THE YEAR (non-bursar):
This award if for a male and female competitor in the university
who has achieved an outstanding sporting standard throughout the
year. This includes having competed for SUSF in their chosen sport.
SPORTS BURSAR OF THE YEAR: This
award has already been presented by the University to Stuart Wilson,
an outstanding golfer that was selected to play for europe against
asia in May, he is the BUSA golf champion and came 2nd in the europen
championships to name but a few of his achievments. Click

Clubs & Societies
As yet UADSA cannot provide webspace for you to host your site.
Although this may change in the not too distant future, we recommend
you make use of free hosting services such as TRIPOD
or from your ISP.
We are offering to host at least one page for each club &
Society - access will be granted to captains to a Content Management
System (CMS) that will enable you to update information, training/
meeting schedules, reports, etc. The page will be set up by us and
maintained by clubs. It should be remembered that this set-up will
fall under UADSA Internet Services Terms
of Use policy, and therefore certain obligations fall on
the appointed C & S editors to adhere to them.
