ABERTAY STUDENT CHOSEN TO REPRESENT EUROPE IN KEY TOURNAMENT
3 May 2002 :: Abertay University student Stuart Wilson sets sail for Japan today (Friday 3 May), as part of the European golf team that will take on Asia in a major tournament. Stuart, whose golfing career has already seen him compete in top competitions across Europe and America, including last year's Open at Royal Lytham, has been selected as part of the 12-man amateur European squad facing a team from the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation for the Michael Bonallack trophy. Server Changes
Please note that ALL feedback forms will not be working for a few days due to a server change. Whilst the email server is updated and the code that makes the forms work, is correctly configured to work on the new servers - ALL feedback issues (including competitions, suggestions, etc) should be emailed to: admin@abertayunion.com.

The reason for the server change:
1] Projections for the site see it being dynamic, self sufficient and self updating by September. The new server will allow for the specific coding languages that are needed for these types of operations to run.
2] Projections for Sports Union and Clubs & Societies section development sees clubs being able to create, edit or delete pages, content, images, etc themselves - without the need for specified webmasters. The new servers will, again, enable the programs that allow this sort of activity to run.
3] Security and Speed. The new servers will allow AbertayUnion.com to be your home away from Varsity... You will be able to access information that will allow you to get into your university files from outside the university. Access to this information is restricted to Abertay Students only - and since AU.com is publicly available - the new servers will give you option to log in to access this info.
4] etc, etc, etc - email us if you would like to know the rest of the proposed plans - email admin...

Abertay Comedy Club
The Abertay Comedy Club was back in action with some more big names on Thursday 25th April. Ben Darcy, Compered for support Allen Miller and headliner Vladimir McTavish - both regulars in BBC programing on radio and TV respectfully. The show was a great success and due to maximum capacity being reached - unfortunately some members had to be turned away. Thursday the 9th May 2002 sees the next Comedy Night - to be held in LIQUID, with an increased capacity - to accommodate more great acts and more great "Abertayers"... Check out the photos!

S.P.A.C.E. - Supporting Primary Aged Children Early needs volunteers. If you are 18-75 years old, you can provide practical support e.g. football, fishing, swimming, judo, cycling, basketball, to primary school aged children in school or in the community.
