Eamonn Holmes returns for a new series of The National Lottery - Jet Set, the quiz show that offers contestants a chance to win a once in a lifetime holiday, sampling the kind of glamourous lifestyle which is only enjoyed by members of the "jet set".

The challenge begins on Wednesday nights with The National Lottery - Jet Set Departure Lounge in which contestants battle it out in the studio for the chance to go through to Saturday's show The National Lottery - Jet Set. Here they compete with contestants for the chance to go head-to-head with the current Jet Set winner in a tough and tense general knowledge quiz. When Saturday's studio contestants are whittled down to one survivor, they get the chance to challenge the reigning champion who is currently living in luxury on their jet set holiday.

However joining the Jet Set can be a precarious life. If the contestant in the studio wins they and their chosen friend will be flown to the next luxury destination, while the ousted winner is flown home, in economy. But the winner's Jet Set lifestyle needn't be short-lived. If successful in the head-to-head challenges, the Jet Setter is able to win again and again, potentially travelling right around the world.

The longest-running champion of the last series, Jez Chambers, was himself a student. He managed to stay living the jet-set lifestyle longer than anyone else so far -- 4 weeks. Additionally, it's definitely worth noting that after the show first begins broadcasting we get on average over 5,000 applications per week -- so applying now in advance is your best chance of getting on the programme!
