MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
Good Luck to Long Nguyen (president of Mixed Martial Arts) who is competing
in his first professional full contact fight featuring in the UK MMA Championship 1 - "Sudden Impact". The fight consist of strikes, takedowns, locks & chokes. The only fight rules are: No headbutting, no biting, no eye-gouging, no fish hooking, no groin stikes, no elbow/knees to the head of a downed opponent - pretty much anything else goes. Hopefully he'll come
back in one piece.

THE FIGHT...
Long Nguyen (Abertay MMA) Vs Richard Stopgate (Wales)
Long is debuting with a tough fight against a heavier, much more experience opponent. Richard has competed in Grapple & Srike, and regularly in the Combat Sport Open trials & National Championships and is currently ranked 6th in the trials. He has beaten Keith O'Hagan who is currently ranked 1st in the Combat Sport trials (keith is a 6th dan Jujitsu instructor, european silver medalist BJJ, author of several book and also featured in BBC
documentary about doormen 'Muscle').

There will be coverage by Submission Fightin UK http://www.sfuk.net There has been some hype that this maybe possibly one of the hottest fights of the year on the sfuk website forum. Some post from members include: The Fat Trapper aka "Mad Jimmy", Leciester shootfighting instructor - "Long will batter whoever he fights....I put money on this fight being debut of the year!"
